When on placement, you're there 37.5 hours a week - the exact same as anyone working a full time job. When on theory blocks, you're in uni 3-4 days a week.
There's then any reading and assignments to do. I was lucky that I only had one assignment due in while I was on placement, all the rest were due at the end of the theory blocks in between.
I still had time for friends and family throughout my nursing degree. I also very definitely had time for hobbies, too - just missed the occasional thing thanks to shifts!
