Any chance at St Andrews?

Hey strangers, my friend and I are both seeking to attain a history degree at St Andrews uni. During our highers last year, my friend achieved AABB and I achieved AAAB, we are currently sitting our S6 subjects, my friend is predicted are AAAB (two of which being advanced highers) and my predicted grades are AAAB (one of which being an advanced higher). Do you believe that these grades along with our predicted grades are enough to be offered even a conditional from this institution?

I don't know about scottish highers as I am an A level student, but from what I understand (and hope) from online research, st Andrews place a higher degree of emphasis on the personal statement to make sure that applicants are passionate about their chosen subject and they have reportedly refused applicants with perfect grades because they didn't come across as passionate.
