Face to Face - Cambridge Undergraduate Interviews to return in October 2027?

COVID was the reason behind online interviews. So surely they would return to normal face to face interviews by 2026/2027? 😧

Stop making s*** up. The Colleges have had a very long debate about this. The majority are satisfied that remote interviewing is the best solution. Only 6 Colleges are doing face-to-face interviews this year. The weight of opinion is currently that online interviews work and there is no specific plan for 2027.

But surely when you have a Face to Face interview it is easier to handle your nerves? 😧

Also, you get to sleep in a College bedroom and eat meals in a College too, as well see the rest of Cambridge University!!! 🙂

Many people find it easier to handle their nerves when they are in familiar and comfortable surroundings. Plus the cost of travel etc to Cambridge is not something everyone can manage. The Uni and Colleges spent the last year debating this, and listened to all parties involved. The majority decided online was the future. Six are currently back doing face-to-face.

2027? That's a long time away.

I'd personally have thought Cambridge should really be completely re-introducing face-to-face interviews from next year.
