Triangles

If I have two triangles, say ABC and XYZ, I can write AB/XY as the ratio of one side of one triangle to the other side of the other triangle, but what I would like to know is, can I write this ratio as AB/YX with the order of XY reversed ? Does it mean the same thing ?

Yes as the length is still the same!
