Is this fair? Tutorials and lectures poor timings

I'm really annoyed rn because we all have our macroeconomics lecture today at 5 and guess what? The tutorial questions for this week are due literally tomorrow. Mind you it's not that difficult but it takes a long time to do and I just finished another module's work. I was thinking of doing the qs on the weekend or on Monday but they were posted just yesterday when I had to do other readings. A lot of people in my course are also pretty upset about these timings and I'm thinking of personally emailing my tutor about what they can do about it. Normally, we'd have a lecture and have a whole week to complete the questions ready for the tutorial but nooo. I'm just so sick and have a headache and it's just unfair. But I know there will be people who will say that its just TOUGH and I have to firm it...well I don't think destroying our souls will make us learn well.

I see this all the time in our place, and the departmental position is almost always that it's tough luck and you have to suck it up. In terms of actual timetabling there's nothing they can do because that is almost always sorted centrally by a specialist team, but a sensible compromise would be to cover the problem sets etc in the tutorial session the week after the lecture.

Good luck. I've been having this fight with my Dept for nearly 3 years and very seldom will they budge on it.

Yh I was thinking of bringing up that compromise to my Tutor tomorrow. I'll have to wait and see I guess.
