How Important Are Use By Dates To You?

Hey Guys;

Just went through my section of the fridge as some of my veg went mouldy and noticed my milk "expired" about 3 weeks ago and is somehow still good despite me having it for a month (I don't know what Bristol does to its milk but it seems to last forever compared to back home (yes I'm a home student))!

So got me wondering how important use by dates are to you, do you stick to them, give or take a couple of days or just go by look/smell? =l

I never go past the use by date, that’s why it’s use by and not best before

Depends on the product really :smile: I think its wasteful to throw away food because of it's date when it's still fine, eg. Yoghurt tends to stay good for a while.
