Hi Sadie,

We do not take Universal Credit payments into consideration as it is classed as a non tax able benefit.

Thank you Drew, I wanted to ask I received the letter to switch to universal credit today . I started my course in January 2024 all my student finance is all sorted . I’m worried switching to uc may deduct the benefit I receive from them because I am a student now ?

Hi Sadie,

Your student loan may affect your entitlement with Universal Credit but you would need to discuss that with them.
