University of Bradford offers and what they mean

If you’ve applied to University, you’ve taken a huge first step in your journey! 🙌

Here are the different types of offer that we can make:

Unconditional offer
You already meet the entry requirements for the course you have applied for, though you may still need to have a DBS (criminal records) check and an Occupational Health check, depending on which course you want to study.

Conditional offer
We will accept you onto the course providing you meet the conditions of the offer.

Once you have met the conditions of your offer, our Admissions team will change your offer to unconditional via the UCAS Hub.

If you have personal and/or educational circumstances that would make you less likely to receive an offer based on our standard entry criteria, you may be eligible to receive an offer through the Progression Scheme.

Contextual offer
We are asking for fewer UCAS points than our standard offer.

These are also referred to as reduced conditional offers, and are made to applicants from one or more groups of people under-represented in higher education.

Alternative offer
You may receive an offer for a different course than your original application.

This could be because you haven't quite met the entry requirements, but we still think you've got great potential.

You will receive an email explaining more about the course you've been offered.

We would also be happy to talk you through your alternative offer, and how it could still help you achieve your goals.

If you would like to speak to someone about your alternative offer, please email [email protected] and we will arrange for the course tutor to contact you.

Responding to your offer
When you have all your offers back, you can let us know your decision.

If you applied via UCAS, you should respond in your UCAS Hub. If you applied directly to the University, please respond in our applicant portal.
