The stemettes society

Hello, I came across the stemettes society and it looks really good but I am a bit concerned because after filling in the form to join it is now asking for my phone number to have “a quick call to check in with you and get you set up”. I just asking if anyone else on here is a part of the society and wether it is a good thing to be a part off or wether I really ought not to give these people my phone number and agree to have them call?
