Some questions about the french oral

Hey, wondering if someone could help
I am doing Le tour de france
1. Does it matter if you dont cover all your bullet points, my first couple will probably take up the whole thing, apparently its ok tho?

2. How important is the way you answer, i.e prononunciation and accent?

3. If i am doing history for example of the tour, is it better to have 1 bullet point : history, or a couple, how it started, development and the first tours, for example.

thank you very much

I don't have a clue about bullet points. What exam board are you on? For AQA you can only have 5, I know that at least.

For pronunciation/accent, obviously this is a fairly important part if you don't say the words correctly, then a French person wouldn't understand you! However, not many people can mimic accents perfectly, so they're not going to penalise you if you're the equivalent of a typical French person speaking English...if that makes any sense  Try to sound as French as you can, don't be shy!

On another note, does anyone's mouth feel different when they speak French? I have a good accent apparently, and my mouth sort of *feels* different when I speak it? Does that make any sense either?! lol

My teacher advises us against this and would infact try to stop us cause, well it just sounds too prepared, which can get you marked down. This happened at my school last year, so they're being extra careful about it, not that people had actually devised exactly what they were going to say, the people who got marked down were in fact native french speakers so it was just like they were being asked the questions in english and went off on one hehe.

Don't spend a lot of your time recounting hitorical events. Raise controversial issues, the more the better: drugs, sponsorship, commercialisation, etc. You must find time to raise these issues in your allotted time. If you don't have time to deal with them all, that's OK, because the possible solutions to these problems (which you've carefully prepared, of course) can be brought up in the follow-up questions.

I must repeat that you must not spend more than a couple of sentences on factual historical backgound. It will lose you marks. Sorry to be bossy, but I know what I'm talking about...

Yeah you have to at least have a vague idea about all your bullet points as this is what the examiner will base questions on. Also they will not go through them in order so you cannot assume that they won't get to one. And be prepared to answer unpredictable q's that do not really relate to the bullet points. If in doubt, make it up!
Good Luck
