3. You're going to need to use: h2O + CO2 -----(carbonic anhydrase)---> H2CO3 ------> H+ + HCO3-

4. Because of the Bohr effect - CO2 reduces haemoglobin's affinity for O2 so will more readily dissociate from it in areas of lower po2/partial pressure (eg respiring tissues)
