Yes I put 60 degrees and 240 degrees instead of in radians, how many marks will I lose ?

Probably just 1

10cm, 5.4 something? for first
two was 3pi/10 and radius 20.4cm
third question was expanding (3+kx)^3 then k in part 2 was +/-1/root3 i believe

four was logs logbase 3 (x^2/x+4)
then x=12 i think
five was integration dont remmeber values
5bii was 4
6 k was 91, n was 38 cant remember part ii
7 was x^2-4x+3 and roots -1 1 and 3
and integrated it between 3 and 1 think answer was 512/15 or something
8 was

yes sounds like what i got too roughly

No, A is 3/5 as the 5/3AX gives values

i.e Sine(5/3X36) = Sine(60)

So your A is 5/3 for application however the scale factor is 3/5

A=3/5 whcih when applied goes to 5/3
K- root3/2

i said a was 3/5 but i used 3/5 throughout.... Would that lose me loads of marks?

i think i got something like 38, i'm probably wrong

That is right because you should get N to equal 36, but as that isnt > 1200, you have to carry on going up from N=36 until the answer is > 1200, which it was at N=38

Who else got a=5/3 and k= root3/2?

What did you say a was? 5/3 or 3/5?
how many marks would you lose if you said it was a stretch parallel to the x axis but got the stretch value wrong?
there was a six mark question but i dont remember what it was does anyone remember? i think in the middle of the paper or something??

depending on what it's out of, maybe like 1/2 marks? what was the actual answer for the stretch one of 3^x-2?

What was the constant question answer with the coefficient of x^2
Reply 70
Did people get +/- 3 for coefficient of k?
Or did i mess up lol

I got + or - root3

wasnt it like 9k^2 x^2 = 27x^2
9k^2 = 27
k^2 = 3
k = + or - root 3? idk if this is correct, that's what i put

Yeah, in positive direction

Yeah sorry I wrote parallel to the x-axis which the MS accepts

A = 3/5
k= root3/2

scale factor: 1/9 also (1 divided by 3 squared)

N=38

the remainder =0

YOU GET 3 LINER FACTORS

You integrate between -1 and 3

Last question tan=root3
so tan=pi/3x and 4pi/3x

First Q distance is 10cm

X FOR LOGS =3 AND -12 (OR VICE VERSA)
