We are the Aston Commuters Society. A newly formed society making sure everyone makes the most out of university! I'm going to be commuting to Aston university from September so I'm glad that there is a commuting society there :smile:

Like yourself we had the same worry of whether its easy to socialise when you live off campus, turns out yeah it is along as you turn up with an open mind and consider that there are plenty of other students in the same position as you, its actually quite surprising how many students at Aston commute. Make sure you attend the most freshers events you can, especially the commuter specific ones - you'll receive more information when you get sent a freshers timetable. We'll be present at the commuter specific events and alongside the events organised by the union we plan to host a few ourselves. The society is fairly new as we set it up just last term, this years freshers will hopefully see the society grow massively!

I am commuting as I live around 35minutes away from Birmingham, but I know parking and traffic can be a bit of a nightmare. Do you have any recommendations on where to park/avoid? :smile:
