I want to know generally how to sketch these type of graphs thank you

You need to consider what happens to the modulus of a part of the function over the 4 intervals :

1\leq x \leq 3, 0\leq x <1, -1\leq x <1

and

-3\leq x < -1

and sketch

for each of these intervals separately.
