Please show explain the working I have no clue how to start this question?

Where is the centre of that circle? How does it relate to the point you're given?

Now join the point A with the centre of the circle and you have a nice right angled triangle you can use pythagoras on - remember you know the distance between the centre and the point (from the distance between two points formula) and you know the radius.
