Are my IB options suitable for law?

-History
-English
-Biology (not very relevant but I do enjoy it, and I don't really want to do 3 essay-based subjects at HL.)

SL
-Maths standard
-Chinese B
-Philosophy

Should I do philosophy at HL instead? I'm not too sure about taking a new subject at HL though :/

Philosophy would be pretty good at higher level, although it would mean that you have essay based subjects. You could always take 4 highers until you decide if you enjoy philosophy and then drop one of them to standard later on, sounds pretty good though.

Yeah, that sounds fine. English and History HL are probably the 2main ones. I had a friend doing law who did the same HLs at you and she got offers from Durham, Edinburgh. She even got an interview for Cambridge.x

I do Philosophy at HL and Biology at SL and I'd have recommended it that way around for Law if you want the best possible chance.. but to be honest you should be fine as you are. (As a side note, HL philosophy hasn't really been that much of a bog-down in case you're worried about all the essays.)
