haha yes good point, errrmmm it may not neccessarily be a heat issue when put into that context as i assume it has been alright in hot summers before. i can't think of what it may be, i shall ask my physics teacher for you, she knows everything!! she is a bloody guru i tell you! :smile:


Thanks :smile: Its a fairly old unit, it came out of a mansion in Mottram, Cheshire (don't ask) and its been in our house for 4 years. I reckon its about 10-15 years old. I hope the mansion story is correct and its not not from a public toilet :wink:
Is this just one of those little Xpelair type fans? Aren't they just about £15-20 anyway?

Yep the problem is the chasis is kind of plastered into the brickwork I remember my mate had a real job trying to fit into the edwardian vent whole. It would be easier to probably replace the motor rather than the whole thing.
