I don't really know what you mean :s

All I needed to know for my AQA Unit 1 was that chunking increased the capacity of short term memory (although examiners did not consider it as a strategy to improve memory)
For example, look at these letters: T A T G O P Z A P E G G

That's more than 9, so chunking could turn it into:
TAT GOP ZAP EGG
Only 4 words, so would help you to remember more

Asked to recall what they could remember after having them read to
Recorded how many they could remember
Repeated with chunking e.g fr rg ik jn fv
Repeated chunking up to a certain number
Found people could remember roughly recall 5 letters or 5 chunks of letters and 9 for numbers
