Ok I hav just read this book on holiday; but being in the sun sand and sea i was rather distracted and got a bit confused in the epilogue.
So David Meredith died. But who killed him? I assumed it was Pius Mulvey, but then the epilogue by dixon confused me as to whether or not this was true or not. hmm. could someone clear this up for me?

I completely forgot about that book - I loved the way there is a twist to it with each chapter! And I love the opening chapter with the description of Pius Mulvey.

What! No, Pius Mulvey did NOT kill him. Yes Merridith faked the note, but it was actually Dixon who killed him, as is said at the end of the epilogue.

I was called for dinner whilst on the last page of the epilogue and so rushed through it so I could finish the book there and then. If what you say is true then that is very very annoying. I feel a trip to the library coming on....
