How do you say 'I think so' in French please? It's just something I've thought of now. Do they use 'so' in the same way we do? 'Je pense alors' or just 'je pense'? Using 'alors' would make me think I had to say something straight after (if that makes sense).

je pense que oui. or, je crois. apparantly there's little difference.

Neither of the above is quite right. Priya's je pense que oui is right.

Much depends on the context, but sometimes d'accord will suffice, or you might put in le if you're referring back to something already said: je le crois = I believe, think so.

Alternatively, make use of à mon avis, c'est mon avis, (c'est) ce que je pense...

No, not too colloquial at all; it's fine.
