Subcut cannulas
I inserted for the first time a subcut cannula on thursday, which i then administered morphine for a patient who was not eating and drinking, and was post-op. Now I have extensively done a search on:
a) Indications for using subcut cannulas
b) Best practice for administering medication this way
c) Best practice on inserting a subcut cannula
and cannot find squat, the only information I sort of can find is on subcut syringe drivers in palliative care..
Am I missing something out?! Any tips of direction?!
