Question About Illness

What's the deal with being ill before and during an exam?

I was and one of my teachers told me to get a note from my doctor and she'd send it to the SQA. I got one from my doctor today and it basically said: ill before and including date of exam an i believe this could have affected performance.

What will happen as a result? I think i done horribly in the exam, like about 30% horrible :frown:

From one of my teacher's explanations, your illness will not affect the examiner's marking (as in, you will not receive any additional leniency as a result of your illness) but it ensures that you will definitely be allowed an appeal.
Hi Shabby
Armaros is pretty much spot on. You've done the right thing by letting people know as soon as possible. However we can't speculate about how you would have done had you been fit, we can only alter your grade based on hard evidence - i.e. your prelims backed by school report. I hope you've done better than you think, and more importantly that you're okay now.
