I need help!
I've read on here that a few people have recommended Leeds Uni for a combined honours in Fine Art and History of Art, but I can't find the course anywhere...
Anyone have the relevant link?
Please!

I don't think Leeds do the combined honours - unless you email them specifically; there's certainly nothing on their website.
Some Universities may not offer the BA Fine Art and Art History combination because a lot of Art and Design courses have Art History theory elements involved.
I don't do Art History/Fine Art - but Goldsmiths is supposed to be a very, very good university for the joint honours.

http://www.plymouth.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/2126/BA+%28Hons%29+Fine+Art+and+Art+History - Plymouth University, also.

This is the Joint Honours list for Leeds for Art + Humanties: http://webprod1.leeds.ac.uk/banner/programmesearch.asp?L=UG&Y=201011&F=P&D=JHAS&S=&A=any
And when you look at the Design Department site, it isn't listed there...

Unless you mean Leeds College of Art?

But they don't have Joint Honours either!

I hope I've helped a little. But I'd suggest sending an email.

Thanks for your help! It's strange about the Leeds site, I swear people were recommending it!

I did a little more research last night (well, a good 4 hours) and I've got 6 uni's down which either so Fine Art and History of Art as a joint honours, or as a course itself.
Goldsmiths, Kingston and Aberystwyth are looking like the best options here..
And maybe Reading, although after looking on the Guardian uni list, it seems rather disappointing.

Heyy, I just signed onto this because of my brother.. he said it really helped.
I'm looking to do a joint honours in fine art and art history as well and I'm finding it really hard to tell the difference between a good college and well, a **** one. I've looked at Leeds and Goldsmiths and Kingston. I'll take a look at Aberstwyth. Do you have any others I could look at?

@Taylerr - Most of the websites that I've looked at give details on what sort of art history you can chose as electives and what not. Some of them have pretty modern stuff and some are pretty ancient

@AboutAGirl - I looked at the Fine Arts course at Leeds and it seems really interesting because it's got elements of Art history and Cultural studies.

I'm really new to all of this so could you please tell me about this whole joint honours thing and stuff?
Thank you!

Entirely depends on the university. A degree at The Cortauld Institute (very high in the leagaue tables) looks at very early stuff through to modern art. An art history degree at Goldsmiths (also high in league tables) claims to be more in-depth on contemporary art. You should read about the individual courses for each uni... takes ages but it's the only way you'd know for sure! Good luck x
