I say varse - my friend says vaze and I laugh at him. He also has a problem saying computer, he says compuedder. Quite funny really, considering he is completely british.

So according to this link, the British and Australians say varze, whereas Americans, Canadians and the Irish say vayze/vayse :beard:

I don't know how to phonetically describe the way I say it. But I certainly don't pretend there's an 'r' in it.
