hello
my northumbria interview is on the 19th january whens yours?
where did it say that on the email? or in a letter?
so we definately dont have to take anything with us as a presentation ? im freaking out about that part lol
and i have an interview at sheffield hallam on the 13th not heard from anywhere else have you?

Mine's the 17th. Getting nervous now!
It was an attachment on an email. It's quite a long day actually, with group and individual interviews, english and maths tests, and the presentation. We definately don't need to take anything, we just have to talk for 2 minutes about something they give is on the day. It's a bit gutting that we have to prepare it over lunch though, because that's when you really get to meet other candidates, and talk about things.
Oh good luck! I was going to apply there, but decided against it because it's so near to where I live, and I wanted to move really. I know people there though, and it's really good.
I've had 3 interviews now, and one unsuccessful. Have you?

Ive replied about brighton before in detail i think its on this thread if you look through.

For chichester i got rejected so doubt ill be of help...
The maths test is on fractions, percentages and decimals.
Percentages includes a % of a number
Fractions includes converting whole numbers and fractions into just fractions or fractions into decimals. And the test alo includes ordering from highest to lowest. i didnt look over this very well and failed badly even though ive a gcse A...you should find it ok though it you brush up just to familiarise yourself. the literacy task is also no problem (a statement is made, you discuss it)

Questions include why chichester/why that subject specialism
I really didnt like the pair interview my interviewer really stretch out the question between me and my pair so that i ran out of good stuff to say ie what makes a good teacher (he asked us both 3 times one after the other...on the spot its hard to come up with more)
He didnt ask much about my experience. i cant really remember anything else. Good luck

I've applied for John Moores, Edge Hill, Manchester Met, Leeds Trinity and Durham. I sent my UCAS off towards the end of November and got my first reply yesterday, an interview at JMU on 2nd March  pretty relieved to be honest! Just wondering if any of you have had your interviews at those Unis and what they're like?

Also if there are any other lads applying because at JMU they interview all of the male applicants together and according to their interview booklet, other institutions are being encouraged to do the same thing. Thought that was quite interesting!

They ask quite hard interview questions, probably because so many people apply and they ask for quite high grades compared to other primary ed courses that they have the luxury of only accepting the best applicants.
my advice is know a lot about what is going on in the news education wise and have opinions about it because thats what i had to talk about a lot, and have loads of reasons about why you want to be a teacher because my interviewer kept me on that question for like 5 minutes x
i've got an oxford brookes interview next week for primary ed, any tips? xx

I had my Dundee interview today. it wasn't too bad...not sure if I've done enough tho. But Dundee don't offer any places until the end of march!

Hey guys  Does anyone know the current situation with offers and things? I've seen some of you have offers - well done! I think most universities are still waiting, though. Unfortunately! In my interviews they said we would hear back around January time. Have many of your university choices said that too? Are the rest of you bored of all the worrying and waiting like me? :P I really want to know now, it's just all too exciting! x

good luck! When is your interview? Where else do you have interviews? Dundee was actually really nice and relaxed... You get split into really small groups.. Mines was 6. And you stay in that group for the whole interview. We just had two interviewers both of which were lovely!

Worcester 320 points from 3 a levels and an as
Wolverhampton 220 points

When did you apply/have an interview at Wolverhampton? and how long after interview did you hear? Is it the Early Primary or General Primary that you have got an offer for?

I had an interview 7th December.. starting to worry as I've not heard anything since! How did your interview go/what are your predicted grades/subjects? Sorry for lots of questions!

x
