Applying to year 2
Hi, I am English so I have completed AS Levels (equiv. of Highers) and I am studying for my A2s (equiv. of Advanced Highers) so I have been looking at applying to year 2 at a scottish uni but is this normal?
I went straight to 2nd year - but I'm an international student. I know that there were about 20 others (of roughly 220) also joining the course in 2nd year and not all of them were internationals. If you have the grades then go for it! 
They might even offer you entry to 2nd year even if you apply for 1st year (depending on your grades of course!).

Thanks, I'm glad there are others doing it. It just seems silly to do an unnecessary extra year.
