Hey everyone,

I'm 22 and heading to Warwick at the end of the month to start my second degree, LLB in European Law (French) - slightly wary about having to relocate and reorientate all over again, but mostly super excited at the prospects of my new course, a new start and all the new people! Plus the thought of being a fresher again is bloody hilarious!

I'm also finding the idea of being a fresher again myself quite amusing (if I get in that is!) as I already have a degree and will be going back to do another one (change of career  )

Hi,

I'm 42, starting Applied Psychology (Clinical) at University of Exeter.

I completed an Access to HE Diploma this last year, specialising in Psychology and Sociology.

I was made redundant from my last job (of 21yrs), and thought now was a good time to actually do something I wanted to do :colondollar:

Hi, I am starting on an access to Nursing at poole college tomorrow:/ I am 34, married and have 3 kids aged 17,13 and 3 years. I work part time and am slightly scared of how I will manage everything but determined to cope.

Hi all, I'm 35 (well closer to 36  ) and about to start at Teesside uni in 2 weeks. I am studying Forensic Psychology.
I completed my Access to SS&H in July and before that I did a ton of admin quals to help with getting a job. I currently work for a charity and love my job but I needed to do something I was interested in that would give me the chance to keep moving upwards...receptionists don't really have far to go .
Anyway I am scared witless, excited, nervous and apprehensive.
also my son started secondary school last week, so we are going in to the big ponds together

Hello, my name is Neeraj Pattni and I am 22 years of age. I have just completed my first year at the University of Kent; specifically, Medway School of Pharmacy. However, I was unsuccessful in passing the first year of the programme due to my inability to to adapt to the Campus life, which had gradually began to effect my health and overall well being whilst living on campus. Prior to going to University I undertook a BTEC National Diploma in Applied Science and achieved Triple Distinction. I am now taking a year to attain an A-Level qualification in Chemistry which will provide me with the opportunity to apply through the university's application process UCAS following successful completion of my one year Studies. I am open minded individual, and would sincerely appreciate a different perspective so please provide me with your views.

Best wishes to all

The fact that you decided to continue studying is positive, as you said that when you were out of education you felt brain dead. Is not possible to do one A-level in a one year time frame and then go on to a course programme of your chosen field? I share similar thoughts in the sense that I feel I can better myself. Have you looked at course programmes of possible interest at different universities? Hope it works out well for you!

Hi, I'm 26, studying Bio, Chem and Physics A Levels at home. I want to go to university (Lancs or Kent) to study Biomedical Science in 2013.
:hi:

Hello everyone. I'm Stephan, am 23 years old and have just started taking A Levels in chemistry, biology and maths at Warwickshire College. I always enjoyed science back in my school days and, all going well, once I've finished these in 2014 I hope to go to university to study for a degree in chemistry. Even at this early stage of the journey I already have my heart set on the Uni of East Anglia.

Pleased to meet you all, and I hope everything is going well. :yep:

i'm 25, i used to be in the airforce and went back to study because it was almost impossible to get a good carreer and future in the airforce. i have started BSc Motorsport technology at Hert 4 weeks ago.
I still have to get used to it...it's difficult for me to study.

Awesome.

What catagories do you follow, what would you like to do with the BSc?
Hi guys? Kwasi?

I'm scared about the horror stories of international students in foreign countries - but my dream is to go away to study...
The stories were mainly told to me by teachers...which made it that much more horrifying?

I did o levels when I was a teen and did fairly well - did not show up for a level exams for extenu. reasons...but am resitting now. I feel fairly confident.
I also did the SATs and got a 1900 but I want to resit as I did not do any sort of preparation? and most of my marks I lost, i lost because i did not understand how to write down my answers
for some questions in the math section... oh and in o'levels i hav 122223C :/ my teachers made it a point to tell me how disappointed they were... lol
anyhuu! 24 YEARS OLD grasping my confidence with both hands and sitting AP calculus and Studio Art next year (If I can afford to I should be able to do AP Lit.) and as well the DALF C1 course at Af. I am hoping to get into KCL/Leicester or Essex to study the LLB\EFLM.

I am worried about tuitiion fees but I am determined not to be held down by circumstances - rather I should define them!

After finishing the degree - I would like to do the BVC/BPTC, and a masters in Classics or philosophy.

By the time I get to 38 I should hope to have gotten a DPhil. - Medical law and Human rights is my schtick

Hi people I'm Simon and I'm 26 studying BTEC Engineering Level 2, hoping to keep going up to degree or better.

I'm an ex-soldier just out of the Army for 2 months now. I've been to various places in the world training and was all set for Afghanistan, but political decisions caused that to fall through. So I handed my notice in before the next tour would come around.

It hasn't been easy but my reasons for leaving were for good, I'm married and have a new born daughter who is my world and I don't want her to grow up not seeing her dad.

It took me about a year to decide and research what I wanted to do and I'm loving being a "student". Adjusting from being a soldier to civilian, dad and now student has been more difficult.

I hope to come here more often for advice and tips or just general chat, would be nice to make some like-minded friends!
