In the second round, Sheffield went through because of their high conversion rate on the bonuses even though Aberdeen had more starters. This time, Imperial won despite having fewer starters. Did not enjoy seeing the physics bonuses go dead
That was large. Looking forward to the semis. Too early to tell who their opponents might be, but because Imperial won both their matches, it'll have to be a team that lost one match in the quarter finals.
Quite sad to see Sheffield out, but Birkbeck deserve to stay on after that performance. Bit surprised nobody got the music starter, but that was a particularly tough music bonus set.
It seemed as though people weren't expecting much of Corpus Christi going into the quarter-finals so it's been nice to see them performing particularly well in the past two games. Picture and music rounds seemed especially hard this week.
The semifinals of UC always pair a team that won both QF matches against a team that lost one; since they try to avoid repeat matches, it should mean that Manchester play UCL in their semi-final (and either Trinity or Birkbeck playing Imperial).
The UCL students' union put together a fun preview video for the final with members of the Imperial and UCL teams (try to ignore the fact that they played the final nearly a year ago now)
