studying maths abroad

I know similar threads have been done before but looking at them I haven't been able to directly answer my questions and i'm quite confused to be honest, so here goes

I want to study maths at university, preferably abroad. I'm in year 12. I'm a french national (have never lived there but my mum is French). I do french B (as a foreign language) in the international baccalaureate as a higher level and i would say i'm fairly fluent and intuitive, but my french is way more conversational than academic having grown up speaking to my family.

I've heard that some french universities require preparatory years for a levels, do I need to do that with my doing the international baccalaureate?
To what extent is university in France and the rest of Europe free for me?
Are there any courses in English, reading Maths, over Europe that are relatively reputable?
If i were to study maths in french, would it be difficult for me to adapt?

Sorry if any of these are silly, and I would appreciate any answers/opinions on any of these
Thanks in advance
