Mr. M - I can't figure out why I'm getting 1.2 (b-a) - that is not parallel to a+b ?

edit: Nvm got it!

3b-2a

2/5 (3b -2a)

6/5b - 4/5a

2a - 4/5a = 6/5a

which leaves 6/5a + 6/5b = 1.2 (a+b)

Mr M, do you think this paper will probably be easier than the first? also, what do you think the grade boundary for a B will be? im praying this goes better than the first ( which went crap) :/

I don't want to guess grade boundaries. Just wait and see.
I really dont understand further trigonometry, i soooo reckon it will come up to :/

Anyone I'm doing trigonometry and I'm doing this question

I have to find AC, correct to 3 s.f, I got 9.433427227 - Why is it wrong?

I got the answer to be 6.784384769, is that the answer you were looking for?

I did 8xcos 32 = answer, hope i helped, im scared about this exam!!!:eek:

Are you doing the correct calculation?

Its Cos as you have hyp and want the adj

Calc is: 8cos32

Ugh all I can do now is go over a few stuff and pray. :frown: I need an early night tonight, no point dwelling on the 40-50 marks i got on the first paper. hopefully i'll do well in this one :s-smilie:
Dear Mr M,

Are the topics you listed the only topics that will show up in the exam on the 10th on june on the non calculator paper or will there be more?

Much appreciated, xx.

I did 8 divided by cos32?

Shall I bother revising these?
Quadratic Formula
Dimensons
Direct and inverse proprtion
Loci
Circle Theorems.

I want a B/A or shall I go sleep?

All quadratic formula can be done by completing the square

Hi Mr M I'm pretty confused and would much appreciate if you would be able to help me in regards to what's most likely to come up after mondays exam, because I am extremely worried and found the exam quite difficult anything would be much appreciated thank you :smile:

Cos = A/H

Cos32 = A/8

8Cos32 = A

Quadratic Formula do a quick practice question, watch out for minus signs in the quadratic and the formula becuase that's what you'll stuff up :smile:
Circle Theorems. make a list of them with pictures and the reasons (e.g angle in a semi circle = 90) that you can look at on the way to school tomorrow, don't take the list into the exams room with you :smile:

Then go to bed

Its not 8 divided by cos 32

you have cos32 = adj/hyp
cos32 = x/8
8cos32 = x

you type 8cos32 into your calc and you should get the answer. No dividing for this question!

If you don't know a thing about them/confident enough to answer a question on them then I think it'd be worth brushing over them atleast (only if you know this will help). Otherwise, sleeping is probably a good bet as you want to be able to concentrate in the exam :smile:
If you go over them don't spend too long as sleep is good too!

you should be doing 8 x cos 32 not 8 divided by cos 32
