PS theories/books - well known or new?
Hi,
Would I be better off referencing a well known concept (but not an obvious one like psychoanalysis), or something I read in a psychology magazine, which would be less 'defined'/scientific?

You are better off referencing something you are interested in and, if you are applying to anywhere that will give you an academic interview, something you are knowledgeable about. Something more academic will probably be preferable but if you are being artificial you run the risk of this being exposed .
