But you can't always translate a present perfect with a passé composé. That's when it gets tricky !

My favorite is "à l'ouest" : je suis à l'ouest

je parle français comme une vache espagnole

je suis une quiche en français
je suis une brêle en français
mon français daube
mon français craint
....

J'aime les vacances à la montagne parce que j'aime skier, mais je préfère passer mes vacances au bord de la mer parce que j'aime le soleil et j'adore la plage, surtout les plages de sable blanc.
