Auditions for Acting at RADA and Central.

Hi there,

My name is Becky and I'm auditioning for drama schools next year. I have been to a few auditions before, but none like this. I know what monologues I'm going to choose (Portia, Julius Caesar, Act 2 sc. 1..Goneril,King Lear, act 1 sc. 3 and Rosalind, As You Like It, act 3 sc 5 as a back up)

I'm also toying with the idea of doing one of the Vagina Monologues as my contemporary piece. What does everyone think?

The bit I'm really stuck on is the music.
I can't sing to a performance standard, I know this and have accepted it. I am, however, good at comedy songs.
Now what I would like advice on, is the choice of artist and any suggestions. I have thought about Bernard Cribbins, Victoria wood and possibly Tim Minchin.

Any suggestion is welcome.

Also, I want to prepare two songs, one comedic and one ballad. Any help?

Thanks guys.

i think the singing is to see if you can act through song, not how good your voice is  im no use with song choices though! sorry
