History. 'Oh, so you want to be a history teacher then?' Not really. 'So, what was the point of doing a history degree?' Standard response.
I'm sorry to say that any History students I meet will be bombarded with every single History Boys quote I can remember (and since my friend has just got me the script, my library of quotes will grow even bigger...:P). So if a girl ever comes up to you and says "History? It's just one f****** thing after the other." You'll know who it is. Sorry in advance.
I do chemistry. "so you want to be a doctor?" "ooh so your gonna be a chemist?" then i say no, and get asked what i want to do. its in 4 years time i dont have to decide now!! -_-
I always find it quite sad, that "Medicine" is more 'respected', than Nursing, Midwifery, ect. Yes, doctors may do work that require certain expertise, but Nurses, ect are always needed in the HealthCare profession.
Heh thanks I think it does personally deserve more respect deffinately, in America the job is seen as quite middle class I think and Registered Nurses over there have needed a degree for a long while, I think people may percieve nursing differently when they realise you will now need a degree to nurse. Although you always get those people (mainly daily mail readers lol ) who think we should go back to basics and have matrons and things in this country too
I agree I don't think nurses are actually recognised for the amount of hard work they put in. Although I must point out that some are very lazy and annoying but on the other side you have the very hard working and caring nurses.
Yeah lazy nurses annoy me a lot and I will try my best to do the best job I can which a lot of nurses do I think You get lazy people everywhere though I know lazy doctors and lawyers too
