Fair play to Kim

A mixture of state brainwashing as a result of decades of a cult of personality by a totalitarian regime and people being intimadated into showing "grief". Not surprising in a country which is basically the closest thing we have to Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four.
You watched a lot of North Koreans weeping hysterically over Kim Jong Il's death.

Propaganda and threats work.

That was pretty funny.

This is just disturbing, really really ****ed up.
It's quite discomforting to see so much psychological manipulation... Grieve or be shot, I suppose. :erm:

Fair play but Princess Diana had a similar effect over here, which is a pretty amazing considering there was nowhere near the same level of brainwashing compared to in North Korea.

They sound like zombies, nearly **** me self.
Read Nothing to Envy by Barbara Demick, it sheds a real insight into how brainwashed and totally compliant the large majority of NK citizens are - they idolize their leaders because it's been drummed into them in school, in work, in the home... they've never been taught to think in any other way. Even though the rest of the world can see that they live in relatively poor conditions, they truly believe that their leader does the best he can for them and that their country is better than any other. Quite unnerving really.

That's right, if people don't conform to the 'Western outlook', then they must be 'brainwashed'. In other words, like the people of North Korea say about Kim Il Sung, we say that the West is all glorious and cannot possibly be suprassed. Ah, a certain irony indeed.

Cry or die, such a choice is enough to make anyone cry.

The problem is not enough people in Europe are culturally confident.

Multi-culti liberals have weakened the West for decades, people are at liberty to heap calumny on the Catholic Church, national sovereignty, capitalism, personal responsibility, abstinence-based sexual ethics, and all that made us the greatest civilisation ever. But you complain about a small fragment of Muslim or majority black behaviour, and you face "racism" complaints.

Do you want to live in a world where the Hate-Crime Prohibitive Brainwashing Force (HCPBF) patrol for anyone who supports Western exceptionalism and forces them to live in backward Africa or woman and gay-hating Middle Eastern states as a punishment for telling the truth?

He wasn't as bad as the Saudis
When I saw this on the news I couldn't help but think of the end of the planet of the apes (the original) when he's sees the statue of liberty and realises he's on Earth.

****ing relativist communist. These people are brainwashed from the moment they pop out of the womb. North Korea is a thanatocracy (thanks, Hitchens!) FFS - the president is still technically Kim Il Sung - and you don't see anything wrong with this kind of behaviour?

Has it ever occurred to you that we in the West might actually be right sometimes? It's cool to rage against the machine, bro, but sometimes the machine functions in your interests.

It's funny (in a tragic kind of way) that you're apologising for fascism whilst displaying the flag of the International Brigades who fought against...fascism
