I currently work in a different jewellers but was looking at applying for Ernest jones as they have a weekend job going, were they good at giving you extra hours and what was it like to work there?
Sorry for late reply. Mine was a really small branch so I didn't get any extra hours during the week, I was on a six hr Saturday contract, we didn't open Sunday. They did always give me at least an extra shift during college holidays though. Been left 18 months or more now though so seems a long time ago. At Tesco now, much better job, more variety, no targets, busier and much better pay 6.91 an hour plus time and a half on Sunday even though it's my regular day and extra hourly rate after 10pm at night.
£6.31 and I only work Sundays in a small department store.

Tig Welder (Aerospace): £19.72p/h ( + overtime rate @ 150%)
36 Hours basic per week ( + unlimited overtime usually 20 hours per week)
