Has the BBC turned SOCIALIST??

The BBC seems to be very left wing at the moment. Is this because of labour's influence, or simply to gain more viewers?
Recent examples include the blatent favouring of labour during the general election, and now it seems the only headline on the BBC is that David Cameron has some dinners with major party donors - of course he would!!

You think selling access to the PM for £250,000 is okay?

The BBC is biased, but it is better than most major news networks.

The BBC is neutral imo. It's a State Television station so it has to be. Also, it has to give equal airtime to all major political parties. However, you can argue that there will a slight bias in any Neutral organisation owing to the views of the members but I don't think this is a major issue in the BBC.

Here's some right wing bias

From 6.15, reporting on the possible fuel tanker drivers strike, Joe Lynam says ""It's bad enough that we're paying more than ever for our fuel; there's now a fear that we might not be able to fill our tanks at all"

When on BBC do you ever see a Tory arguing his/her case - the only people ever on or interviewed by the BBC are labour and occasionally liberals. [bloody liberals]

A friend of mine observed that left wing people tend to think of the BBC as being right wing whilst right wing people think of it as being left wing. I think this is probably quite true.

I tend to think that it's fairly neutral, but with the odd journalist being quite considerably biased either to the right or left. In general it also seems a little conservative in that it seems to treat new or radical ideas with a lot of suspicion, but that's simply reflective of British politics.
