Re: OCR Biology AS F211 May 2012That was really useful-thank you!(Original post by EyesSetToKill)
Hard to say really, just the usual revision tips.
-Make sure you know all definitions/key words! You'll pick up easy marks. I had a 6 mark question which was a 'fill in the gaps', basically just 6 definitions!
-Look at the specification, make sure you can do everything on there..
-Make sure you understand the principles of water potential, phloem/xylem, gaseous exchange etc. If you know the principle of it, it will be easier to work out/answer questions you may not know the exact answer to...if that makes sense? S:
-Time keeping is essential in the exam! Make sure you use the most of it.
Hope this helps! xxx

Re: OCR Biology AS F211 May 2012You can, but if theres a pencil next to the question it means they want good essay/question strucure & vocabulary. just bullet point them but rub out the points and write them on one line.(Original post by nadirapatel)
For the longer mark questions, does anyone know if you can bullet point your answers?
remember, if part o fa sentence is wrong, they can mark the whole sentence wrong so just keep everything really really precise & short.Last edited by Axion; 11-05-2012 at 11:31. -

Re: OCR Biology AS F211 May 2012Transport that does not require energy from the cell in the form of ATP. It includes diffusion and facilitated diffusion (which uses a channel/carrier protein but does not use ATP)? -

Re: OCR Biology AS F211 May 2012Yeah okay(Original post by Axion)
mostly correct: I would have allocated the mark as follows.
The movement of molecules using only kinetic energy (1)
down the molecules concentration gradient(1)
Use that definition

What was incorrect then? -
