There is a misprint in the AQA text

The forces should read 10.2kN and 3.6kN

magnitude = [ square root of (((10.2 x 10^3) squared) + ((3.6 x 10^3) squared)))] = 10.8kN

The forces you should get are 10200N vertically, and 36000 horizontally (not 3.6 like in the book, that's ridiculous)
