I'm pretty sure you mean plutonic intrusion(?)

A plutonic intrusion is body of rock that formed below the surface of the Earth when magma cooled and crystallised. As these rocks cooled more slowly than those formed by extrusive activity (e.g. volcanic eruptions), the crystal sizes of intrusive rocks are much larger. Rocks such as granite are formed in this way, for example. These rocks are exposed to the surface when the overlying country rock is eroded away.
