What do Unis think about gap years for Maths?
First of all, I'm not talking about applying for deferred entry, I want to take a gap year and apply in my gap year. I'm doing this so I can be sure I've done all my research and to be sure it's the course for me.
I won't be doing productive stuff all year round but I plan on getting an internship or some other experience. Mainly, I'll be researching other courses and other professions.
What will universities make of this? will it reduce my chances at all?
I'm thinking of applying to Warwick, Imperial and possibly Cambridge for straight mathematics.
