Difference between DO NOT CREDIT and IGNORE?

In the OCR mark scheme, there is the two different phrases in the additional guidance. Does one of them mean that you get no marks, like "reject"? Or do they just mean the same thing?
Thanks

In both cases, you won't gain or lose a mark.

Do not credit means no marks are given for that response, perhaps because it is vague or incorrect. Ignore tends to be for extra information which is usually correct but not necessary or required.

Oh that's clear, thanks

hang on, so what does 'reject' mean? I'm looking on a aqa mark scheme, but I'd thought they would be pretty similar. Does it mean that it negates any previous marks you had got?
