Drama Audition Help

I have an audition coming up on Sunday, it's the first one I have ever had.

This is the only thing I know:
What will I need to do for the Audition?
You will need to prepare two short speeches by heart. Usually we ask for a classical piece and a modern piece. But don’t worry about this too much. Do the speeches you like best or feel most comfortable with. Try to do speeches which show a contrast of styles and abilities.
Each speech must be no longer than 1.5 minutes in length.

The classical piece should be selected from one of the following playwrights: William Shakespeare, George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde and Anton Chekhov.

A modern piece written post 1980s, which should be in its original format.

What's a speech? How do I prepare one? It will be hard to find a male speaking role in a play, piece that I will be able to take out and perform infront of judges.

Normally in drama's there is dialogue, and other stuff, you never have one man speaking by himself unless it's a monologue or something I don't know.

Any help will be appreciated
