Nuclear test in North Korea

North Korea is most definitely not in line with IAEA regulations. The IAEA enforces the Nonproliferation Treaty. The only nations permitted to own nuclear weapons are the states which had said weapons at the time of the creation of the treaty. Despite the fact that North Korea has since withdrawn from the treaty, we still vehemently oppose any development of nuclear weapons, and any use of nuclear power for non-peaceful purposes.

Well then the Swiss Confederation condemns the actions of the DPRK.

The DPRK reminds the international community that it is the actions of the US that provoked these new tests. Further we will not accept condemnation by states that already own nuclear arms and emphasis that the theory of mutually assured destruction requires all states to have access to this technology to function as a deterrence to their use.

Austria is appalled by the actions of North Korea and calls on China to keep their ally in check.
Iceland, as a nation strongly opposed to the existence of nuclear weaponry regardless of who owns it, condemns the test by the North Koreans. Although we advise the North Koreans to stop their nuclear weapons program, based on most of the world's past attempts at communication and negotiation with the nation, we feel that the message would fall on deaf ears. Without pointing fingers of blame, we ask the United States of America to realise that North Korea feels threatened by some of their actions, understand that they often disregard the welfare of the international community, and, without sacrificing the integrity of their nation, to take great care when dealing with matters that may provoke more serious actions with much greater consequences.

Vietnam hugely condemns the act of DPRK, calling on its closest ally China to enforce stricter sanctions and control over North Korea and her actions.

Vietnam is also considering actions to strengthen the security of its people and defense in light of these recent events, given its geographical location to the DRPK and border with China.
