Help what to take.

I am sorry that I have posted something similar to this before but not the same.
Hello, I have an ordinary laptop and soon I am going to buy an Alienware X51. For those of you who are not familiar it is a gaming desktop pc. I will be buying it very soon, I am in my 2nd year of 6th form. Is it allowed and ok to take it to University. Not really to play games on but more for comfort typing. I can use my laptop for lectures and use the pc back in the halls in my room. Will that be ok? Also the pc is very small (even though it's a gaming pc). Even smaller than an average computer. The Alienware X51 is slightly bigger than an Xbox. Thanks. X
