Ancient and Medieval History (V116)

I'm thinking about applying for this course for 2014 entry, and I was just wondering if anyone on here does the course, has any hints or tips on writing personal statements, and whether anyone who does History at university got any relevant work experience?

Just in case you haven't already realised, just because a group of courses have the same course code and the same title, it DOESN'T mean they are all exactly the same.

Every Uni will structure their courses differently and there will be very different optional units etc, depending on the expertise/interests of their own teaching staff. Some Unis will give you the possible option of a work placement and/or a Year Abroad. So, make sure you read each course description carefully.

PS. You don't need w/exp to apply for History, though anything relevant IS worth doing purely in terns of increasing your subject knowledge and your self-confidence. Mention it if you'e done something relevant but don't worry if you haven't.
