Evidently, degree vary from university to university BUT should I be worried?

For example, Newcastle wants ABB for Linguistics, while York St.John (YSJ) wants BCC (260 pts).

Will the course be lower quality at YSJ in comparison to Newcastle in terms of knowledge learnt and contents of lectures?

I guess at university... a lot is learnt independently, but if I went to YSJ(or a similar university) would I need to work harder than someone at a Russel Group university to have the same value of education/knowledge?
