Computer Science at Bristol Application

Hey,

I'm applying for Computer Science [MEng] at Bristol. They received my application a couple of days ago and I received a confirmation email. Then today, I received an email asking my referenee to send them either my AS grade results from last year or my A2 predictions for this year.

This is all information that they would have got if they read through my UCAS application and reference.

Basically, I'm asking if this is usual, or if it has happened to anyone else, as I am slightly confused by it.
