disgraceful really

Happens everywhere really. I applied for months and months for jobs, trailed every local high street and got nothing but 1 interview. Then my friend got a job as a steward and got me a job just like that.

Still, he sounds Harvard worthy from his grades.
Though, I thought those top American Unis also valued ECs.

Yeah, his grades sound competitive; just weird that someone he knew interviewed him  He said he did have some good EC's so I guess he is sorted all round really!!

I disbelieve the OP in any case
However, if he is indeed truthful, good luck I suppose.
But not a full "goodluck" as he has an advantage

I'm sorry but those grades aren't anything special. I have about similar and there are WAY better people out there who do not have the same opportunity as this fella. I am by no means Harvard-standard.

Exactly. Grades are far from everything, especially with the more prestigious institutions. Harvard want someone to show excellence in everything they've done, not just exams.

Agreed. I hate it, but won't say no. Haha

Harvard > LSE
Many people would donate a kidney to be in the position you are in.

LSE is an excellent place, and Harvard is even better. The only real drawback about Harvard is that Ed Balls was there, but don't let that put you off.

Good luck.

I think not, I would rather be at MIT.

MIT is inferior to Harvard in the eyes of many.
