Seems I'm the only hopeful this year who didnt do an EPQ medicine related, suuuper clever

It's not a big deal - EPQs are only useful for a handful of med schools (see wiki on 'a level requirements'). Personally, I advise prospective medics NOT to do one, as it's a distraction from their other subjects. There are counter arguments, of course, but none that convince me an EPQ is worthwhile.

I have an interview with St Andrews and Durham, all I did was grade 6 guitar and volunteering with special needs children and helping out in school as senior prefect

[SCROLL]CURRENT YEAR 13 - MARK II [/SCROLL]

Well we've managed 10,000 posts in our first thread (bit crazy I think) so there's no reason as to why we can't do it again.

We've all officially applied so best of luck to all year 13s and all other medicine applicants.

Current Year 13 Hopeful Medics - Mark I

To make following our applications a bit easier, and if you would like your choices in the list below, please quote me and I can add it for you.
You probably would want to tell me the medical schools you've applied to, and quote me if your application status has changed. Interviews will be blue, offers will be green, and rejections will be red (fingers crossed there won't be a lot of reds)

Don't worry about it, I added it for you. I'm so sorry about Manchester though, do you know what went wrong there?

I heard about this  I think I read about it in the New Scientist
Hi everyone,
I have an interview with Liverpool on the 28th. I need anyone's opinion if this is formal/smart enough to wear to a medical interview http://www.dorothyperkins.com/en/dpuk/product/sale-offers-203529/view-all-sale-1724247/dresses-203689/petite-rose-print-tube-dress-2259834?refinements=category~%5b291044%7c291043%5d&bi=1&ps=200, its similar to this but a bit longer and darker. I will wear it with my grey blazer, or should I go with just trousers and a blazer?? xoxoxo

Wow! Good find!! I'd love to get involved in Alzheimers disease research in the future, Its such a widespread horrible disease it'd be amazing to do some research to improve treatment or even help prevent it.

It was such clever thinking to come up with it! I keep meaning to renew my New Scientist subscription...

Yeah, I originally wanted to go into Neurology/Cardiology and my Cardiology w/e put me off a bit. Then I started to favour Immunology. I suppose one of the joys of not having to specialise until later is that you get to try loads of different things and be involved in loads of different research at Med School!

You should renew it
